Arkanian offshoots share the following species traits:

• Ability Modifiers: +2 Dexterity or +2 Strength, -2 Constitution.

• Medium Size: As Medium creatures, Arkanian Offshoots have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.

• Speed: Arkanian Offshoot base speed is 6 squares.

• Conditional Bonus Feat: Arkanian Offshoots are typically engineered for specific industrial tasks. They gain the Skill Focus feat for one of the following skills in which they are trained: Endurance, Mechanics, Pilot, Survival or Treat Injury.

• Determination: Arkanian Offshoots are particularly determined and driven. Once per encounter, they can reroll one failed skill check with a trained skill. This reroll can be declared after the success or failure of the roll is known. The Arkanian offshoot must take the result of the second roll. A skill check is considered a failure only when the check fails to meet minimum DC for any kind of success.

• Automatic Languages: Arkanian and Basic.
