A droid with internal defenses has built-in defenses that operate independently of the droid. Anyone opening the droid’s maintenance or access panels without the droid’s permission receives an electric shock as a 1d20 +5 attack against the character’s Fortitude Defense. If the attack succeeds, the character receives damage equal to 1d8 + half the droid’s heroic level. The droid is unharmed. The system remains active untildisabled (Mechanics DC 25, 1 hour of work) or is depleted after 10 attacks.
